Race Regulations - Endurance Race

Safety requirements:
The likelihood of an accident happening increases greatly if drivers do not listen or adhere to instructions, do not pay attention to the flags, or drive in an aggressive manner or beyond their own ability.
Accordingly, we will deal with any of these violations with anything from a warning, to a penalty, to removal from race. Whether or not you agree with the decisions of the staff running the race, as in many other sports, their call is final.
To wear a helmet is mandatory, it is recommended to wear an overall.

Karts:

·       All karts start with new tyres and are adjusted to the same maximum speed.

·       Every team can choose their preferred kart, first choice by the team with the best qualification.

·       In the case of mechanical failure, a replacement kart is ready to start at the pit-lane. The driver has to leave his faulty kart in a safe manner and run to the replacement kart.

Driver Exchange
There is a special pit-area for driver change and re-fuelling. Only one kart at a time can go to the pit. Driver exchange is carried out by the team and as follow:

-       Inform the steward at least 2 laps before change. (With the pit-stop badge)

-       The steward shows the driver the kart number with the black board.

-       The called driver has to go to pit after completing the lap.

Each driver has to drive at least 30 laps.

Re-Fueling:
The kart starts with full tank, enough for about 150 laps. The team itself is responsible for the re-fuelling. The re-fuelling is done during a driver exchange while no driver is in the kart. (Inform the steward with the re-fuel badge.)
Our Refuel-Crew will fill 1.5 litre (75 laps) into the tank.

ŕ See also Race-Procedures and Race Exceptions

Race Start:
We start on the starting-grid. Pole position for the team with the best average “Best-Lap”-time.

Race End:
The race is over 222 laps.
Winning team is the one which kart first finish the 222 laps.

Track rules:

- No bumping, - No blocking (zig-zag)
- Outside the team-pit area: Do not exit from karts until instructed.

Flags:

Yellow Flag :    This is a signal of danger. It usually means that a kart ahead may have spun. Slow down, watch out and do NOT overtake

Red Flag :       Stop as quickly as possible and in a safe manner, stay in the kart and wait for instructions.

Black Flag :      Go to Pit, Faulty equipment or Penalty. Leave track with caution

Blue Flag :       When this flag is shown it means a faster kart is close behind. Keep driving but keep your racing line and be ready to let him/her go by

Weather:
Events will be run rain or shine.

Authority:
The Race Director reserves the right to alter the event rules and regulations to suit any special or unforeseen situation. All decisions by Race Director are final. These general rules may be modified in part to suit a particular race.
